Alaska : The Ultimate vacation spot

Alaska is the largest state of the U.S. that is not bordered by any other U.S. state like Hawaii. It was the 49th state admitted to the union. It is a vibrant tourist’s heaven full of lodges, resorts, fun activities like Alaska fishing and boating with tourist guides. It has got almost everything that somebody can think of at a fantasy holiday. There are five distinct regions in Alaska:

  1. Southcentral
  2. Inside Passage
  3. Southwest
  4. Far North
  5. Interior

The Southcentral region has mountains and lakes for a referesing natural experience. The Southcentral has over half of Alaska’s population. It is a region of fun filled fishing rides, mountaineering and hiking groups and viewing wild animals like bear watching. The Alaska resort has mountains, lakes, remote almost uninhabited areas which are well connected through roads.

The Inside Passage region is consists of gigantic glaciers which were made millions of years ago, it has massive wildlife with animals like sea lions, bald eagles, whales and porpoises. It has some beautiful and exotic scenic locations. It has mountains covered with amazing flora and fauna. There are wonders of in the Southwest Alaska which are often covered by TV Channels like the National Geographic.

The plains and hills of the Southwest region are home to brown bears. For people like me who love bird watching there are more than 240 bird species Southwest Alaska. The Far North region has got amusements and history to its credit. It was the hub in gold rush days in the distant past. The Interior region of Alaska has North America’s tallest peak Mount McKinley and widespread tundra vegetation.
